A handmade by Ashley, jelly roll quilted rug is a cozy, textured accent piece made from continuous fabric-wrapped batting strips sewn in a continuous oval.



Washing & Cleaning

Vacuum Regularly: Vacuum both sides of the rug on a low-suction setting without a roller brush to clear away dust and surface debris


Machine Washable: Place the rug in the washing machine on a gentle or delicate cycle using cold water. Use a mild, gentle laundry detergent.


Spot Cleaning: For minor spills, gently blot the area with a damp cloth and a drop of mild dish soap. Avoid rubbing, which can fray the stitching or fabric.


☀️ Drying & Reshaping

Air Dry Only: Do not put a jelly roll rug in the dryer, as machine drying can shrink the cotton batting and warp the shape.

Dry Flat: Take the damp rug out of the machine and lay it completely flat on a towel-covered floor or a hard surface. Use your hands to smooth it out and press it flat. Flip it halfway through the drying process to ensure both sides dry evenly.


✨ Ironing & Maintenance


Ironing: It is completely normal for a freshly washed or highly loved rug to develop minor ripples or waves. Simply iron the rug using high heat and a steam setting while it is flat on the floor or an ironing surface to press it perfectly smooth again.

Safety: Because 100% cotton can be slippery on smooth surfaces like hardwood, laminate, or tile, consider using a non-slip rug gripper or rug tape underneath.
